Robbie Carter is a young Australian boy who has recently moved to London. Like most young travellers, he is sleeping on the sofa of his cousin Jason and is fortunate to land himself a job in a local bar. The bar that Robbie starts working at is called The Rusty Nail.
The Rusty Nail is a bar that’s full of characters – none more interesting than its mysterious owner Charles Walpole. Although Robbie tentatively begins dating delivery boy Frank, it’s Charles that he is fascinated by and strangely drawn to. What Robbie doesn’t realise is that Charles isn’t like other guys in any sense – he is a vampire. A man that has lived for centuries, a man that left his human life behind on the Caribbean island of Martinique when he was sold to a wealthy sugar can plantation as a sex slave.
One night Charles invites Robbie home for a drink. Robbie eagerly accepts the invitation and is looking forward to getting to know Charles better. However he didn’t expect to discover the dark secrets that Charles is hiding and soon everything has changed for Robbie.
