Gean Penny was born in Buena Park, California. She is the author of several books for children. Gean has been writing since the age of seven when her poem won the opportunity of publication in the local newspaper. Gean Penny is the author of several books for children in the categories of picture books, easy readers and middle grade novels. Gean Penny Books is her publishing imprint.Gean currently lives in Texas with her husband, daughter and several animals. She works as an instructor at a local college when she is not writing and has taught middle school at two different public schools.Gean enjoys reading, writing, cooking, walking, horseback riding and spending time with her family and friends.
