11-19-2010Looking on a library shelf for an Oscar Wilde book...this was one of those serendipitous finds.Good. Spare language (and that, admiring, from a Faulkner-rather-than-Hemmingway aficianado). The simple language belies the visceral impact of the story.
If this book was a movie it would be a "sleeper hit". This book was mentioned in a Group Post on another site and made me curious. That was the only reason I picked it up.
