The new team is not gelling for me, and the storyline is... okay. I'll continue to read in the hopes that they'll bring Rocket back for now, but may choose to drop this out of rotation if it doesn't get better soon.
They don't talk about Rocket. I haven't been able to figure out why yet. But hey, here they're teasing us with Rocket's death. Ask me if I'm happy, I dare you. Most Guardian titles get a five star, because I've found them to be charming, partly because of what an a-hole Rocket is. Now, bet...
I got less and less impressed: less funny, and felt this went out with a bit of a whimper. Kinda like the 'it was all a dream' ending let down, although it wasn't that trope. Hoping DD holds up more.
But it pushes the story along, although I miss the humor of the first three. I'm glad this is a mini-series, though, because I don't think this concept could stand a longer run than five issues...

Francis, our superhero, gets his powers from any type of stimulant and, after some disastrous episodes, is trying to come off drugs and redeem himself. Not as easy as it sounds and this develops into an interesting tale with well-formed characters, good illustrations and an engaging plot. Recommende...
Buzz Kill is the story of a superhero who gets his powers from alcohol and drugs. That may sound like the premise of a superhero parody, but it is actually a marginally sincere look at someone attempting to get sober while everything in his life is pulling him away from sobriety. I say marginally si...
The world of the paybacks is one that I can totally get behind. You know those super heroes that start out as billionaire playboys, able to use their wealth in order to fund their crime stopping, vigilante, hobbies? Yeah, there’s actually not a lot of those around. Instead those who would be hero...
I admit, a lot of the time when I pick up a superhero book, much like when I pick up a fantasy book (and I assume, when romance fans pick up a romance book - I wouldn't know, not being a fan), I'm not looking for anything new. I mean sure, a new world, some new characters, an adventure I haven't rea...
