Captain George Galdorisi is a career naval aviator. He began his writing career in 1978 with an article in U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings. His Navy career included four command tours and five years as a carrier strike group chief of staff. He has written nine books, including (with Dick Couch), the New York Times best seller, Tom Clancy Presents: Act of Valor, the novelization of the Bandito Brothers/Relativity Media film; the U.S. Naval Institute Press book, The Kissing Sailor, which proved the identity of the two principals in Alfred Eisenstaedt's famous photograph; and over 200 articles in professional journals and other media. He is the Director of the Corporate Strategy Group at the Navy's C4ISR Center of Excellence in San Diego, California.His latest project (with Dick Couch) is a reboot of the best-selling and long-running (1995-2005) Tom Clancy's Op-Center Series. Book One, Out of the Ashes, was published by St. Martin's Press in May 2014. Book Two is already in production and will be released sometime in 2015, and St. Martins is planning a multi-book effort over the next decade-plus. The new series, which is not only a fast-paced military action leavened with high-technology, but is prescient about the future of geo-politics, warfare and technology. It will take the reader on a fast-paced thrill ride and will also reveal what the future will really be like - at once terrifying, but hopeful.
