George Ranalli is an American architect and scholar based in New York City, and a fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Ranalli studied architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York (B.Arch ’72) and Harvard University Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts (M.Arch ’74). In 1996, Yale University awarded Ranalli a Master of Arts degree, honoris causa. A dynamic practicing architect, Ranalli has published several monographs and contributed his architectural projects to volumes on contemporary architecture, and he has authored and edited publications on a range of topics. For 40-years, Ranalli has pursued design excellence in the interest of community. He has been honored for advancing both the traditions and innovations of the practice of architecture. George Ranalli Designs, industrial everyday objects for Home and Work, collected by museums, such as La Corolle d'Autore, Venice; Denver Art Museum; Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ranalli's architecture covers a range of residential, civic, and institutional settings.
