Her newest title, Finance Your Own Business: Get on the Financing Fast Track, with attorney Garrett Sutton, is designed to help entrepreneurs understand and improve their business credit profiles, and find funding to grow. She has been interviewed for more than 3000 news interviews including The Today Show, Dateline NBC, The New York Times, USA Today and Reader's Digest. Gerri the author or co-author of five books besides Finance Your Own Business: Debt Collection Answers: How to Use Debt Collection Laws to Protect Your Rights (2009); Reduce Debt, Reduce Stress (Good Advice Press 2009), Invest In Yourself: Six Secrets to a Rich Life (Wiley, October 1998), which was recommended in USA Today and Kiplinger's magazine; Slash Your Debt, Save Money & Secure Your Future, and The Ultimate Credit Handbook (Plume, 1993, 1998, 2003).For three years, Gerri hosted a weekly radio show and several hundred of her interviews are still available online for consumers to listen to at GerriDetweiler.com. She is also an international speaker and has testified before Congress on consumer credit topics. Gerri serves as Director of Consumer Education for Credit.com, an independent personal finance education website where she answers credit questions, develops educational programs and materials, and works on consumer advocacy initiatives. She holds a B.A. in International Business/Political Affairs from Taylor University, and an M.A. in Adult Education/Psychology from Vermont College.
