Gerry is a father, husband, writer, publisher and IT Executive. This makes him a pretty good juggler as well.Gerry was one of those young people who didn't know what he wanted to be when he grew up, so he tried all sorts of things, at university, as well as vocationally. In the end he settled for two undergraduate degrees and a masters degree, mostly in computer science and IT, but no small amount of anthropology, English Lit and History.Throughout all this time he really, really did want to be a writer, but was lazy and confused and instead immersed himself in roleplaying - not just the Friday night activity, but designing and convention going/organizing etc. For well over thirty years...Some years back Gerry decided, "Hey, why not do something totally offbeat and actually do what I always wanted to do - write."Gerry loves writing in many of the genres and subgenres resident under speculative fiction - horror, fantasy and scifi. He has already published over 50 short stories in magazines and anthologies - at a rate of more than one a month - and at the close of 2010, he published his first novel, Guardian of the Sky Realms, a young teen fantasy. This novel is now out of print, as he is delighted to have it revised and published where it should have been published in the first place - Australia, through a great new publishing company, Cohesion Press.He is working on several novels, mostly in the fantasy space, and a collection of science fiction short stories to be published in 2015, through Cohesion Press.He is also Managing Director of IFWG Publishing and IFWG Publishing Australia, working hard to help other new authors get published.
