This novel was a lot of fun. Verity has developed beyond the one-dimensional shrew in the previous novel. The mystery this time has significantly more suspects and a lot of red herrings.
Almost everyone is thoroughly unpleasant--only one exception and it is neither the hero nor the heroine!
