It was exhausting but it showed their reality. The journey that immigrants travel to find hope, to find their new life. Months ago, Ebo’s sister left for a better life and now, his brother has left without him. Hoping to catch up with him, little Ebo leaves and finds that this journey is long and ...
Illegal is the story of two brothers’ journey from Africa to Europe. Along the way Ebo, the main character, charms his way by singing, finds a bit of luck, and cheerfully works at whatever job he can find. Ebo is an intelligent and gutsy hero, who, perhaps because of his age, naively manages to thin...
Honestly, I'm not a huge fan. I never read the original books, so I don't have any background knowledge. Maybe I would have liked the story better if I read it in the traditional format first. As a first-time reader, I found Artemis to be cocky (although as a 12-year old genius, I guess he has the...
*4.35 Stars*See my review for the first in this series: HereThe Gush A lot of what I said about the first graphic novel also pertains to this one as well. It's basically the first book in graphic novel form. Yay.I didn't like how they all looked, not a single one of them. But since Eoin Colfer had heaps to do with it, I guess at least I know it was done RIGHT and it's just my problem with not liking it.It's a good version of the novel, keeps everythin...
