The art got funky at the end, but for the most part? It was absolutely gorgeous. A completely different style than Turner's work, but the linework, the inks, and the colors were all stunning, especially all together. Furthermore, the science and magic finally come together, in a way I'd hoped...
And I have to say: I'm surprised. I really despised this character, not only during his appearances in other Fathom volumes, but during the first two volumes. (Just to get complicated, while trying to make this less complicated, this omnibus is a collection of four volumes of Kiani graphic novels...
And it's something she doesn't take kindly to. The children, whisked away by a mother they haven't seen in years, have questions of their own: does she visit the graves of their father and siblings, what's she doing with killers and monsters, and does she really think they're safer with her around...
