I've been a journalist for over 20 years, writing a mix of reporting and technology stories. Over the last 20 years, I've written regularly for the Economist, Macworld, the New York Times, Wired, Fast Company, MIT Technology Review, Boing Boing, the Atlantic, TidBITS, and many other publications. I've also appeared regularly as a guest on public radio, including a three-year weekly stint on KUOW in Seattle.I won on Jeopardy! twice in October 2012, a very exciting footnote to all the trivia I've learned over the years. I live in Seattle with my wife and two sons, and spend my spare time reading, hiking, and being a regular part of the Incomparable podcast network, where I host the show Afoot.
