This was like a peek into Atwood riffing on ideas, plots, themes. It was like she was auditioning them, seeing what she could do with them, exercising them, putting them through their paces, marking them off with a stopwatch -- go! Wonderful.

Atwood at her funniest. I loved the first half more than the rest of it simply because it was funnier. I was in the mood for funny things and reading about how you can bake or sew yourself your man went inside better than the dark stuff afterwards. I know even the hilarious parts have deeper meaning...
