Gospel Light continues on the foundation established by Dr. Henrietta C. Mears and to the mission God called her to. Henrietta C. Mears was one of the great Bible teachers of the 20th century. While Christian Education Director at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, she built one of the largest Sunday Schools in the world and wrote curriculum that was in such high demand that to publish it she founded Gospel Light in 1933.Gospel Light has expanded into a multi-faceted publisher of fun and creative Sunday School curriculum, exciting Vacation Bible School programs and inspiring biblical books (Regal). The mission of Gospel Light is to know Christ and make Him known; to provide His Church with effective Bible teaching and learning resources for use in making disciples, empowering them for godly living, equipping them for ministry and the evangelization of the world. To accomplish this mission, our strategic vision is to provide local church leaders with evangelism, discipleship and Christian education resources which will help them reach for Christ and make disciples of their church's families, singles, children and youth, and which will help them equip their church to reach their communities, cities and regions for Christ.At Gospel Light, we remember what it's like to see the world through a child's eyes. We help them learn about God and His Word through hands-on activities that engage their intense curiosity and openness to learning new things.
