Of all the ways vampires are depicted in books and movies, this classic Dracula is how I prefer them. Awful, evil, coldly predatory, both compelling and repelling their victims. The story itself is wonderfully moody and atmospheric and the characters – even the minor characters – are truly a lot of ...
Once again, this was a good full cast audiobook experience, although there are portions that drag. And although I like how competent Mina is, it's annoying to see her patronized as well. I finished this a while ago but was lazy about posting anything. I read it for the Gothic square for the 2018 H...
Narrators: Alan Cumming, Tim Curry, & full cast I’m done! I’m not sure what to say about it though. Indeed, for as long as I can remember, I've avoided horror - gothic and otherwise - in both literature...
