My first review got eaten *sigh*So this was very good. I fell in love with the characters immediately. The writing was good, very technical. If you like SciFi, space travel and tech-speak, this is the book for you. The romance was almost secondary to the rest of the plot, which involved dirty go...

3.5 stars, but I LOVED it! Go figure :) I like it when mental powers/technology don't run over human interaction. Unfortunately it almost happened here with Turk's abilities. That aside it was perfect.

Tricked. Bamboozled, I tell you. *grunts* The beginning of this book is so dark and gritty that I felt a delightful shiver rundown my spine. The numbers and symbols flashing across his internal display didn't keep him from seeing the gore strewn about the corridors, as if some gruesome human abatt...

4.5 rounded up to five because this would be a great start to a great series featuring supporting characters in their own stories.

Nicely-done, with really good flashes of elegance, and of nuance.

4.5 ish. . .An enthralling sci-fi story about two mentally and physically scarred men. Isaac is very much the realistic "survivor", with just the right amount to occasional bitterness, but a strength to carry despite the fact many men before him in that same position committed suicide. Turk was so p...

This has been in my tbr shelf for what feels like forever, and then once I started reading it, I nearly stopped. I made it to the first weirdly formal and awkwardly polite sex scene and just about closed the book and moved it to my dnf shelf. I'm not sure what stopped me, but I'm so glad it did! ...
