Like the first book, I'm sure 4th graders will love it. There's fun action, a fun mystery, and fun characters. Quite elementary for an adult. I'll review the series once I've finished it.********There must be a lot of Suzanne Collins fans out there reviewing with their hearts, because there's no ...

The second book in the Underland Chronicles was just as action-packed as the first. It did leave some unanswered questions but I assume they will be answered in the following books. It was easy to read and full of danger, yet again, as Gregor and friends unravel the Prophesy of Bane. Although it was...

As Gregor & the Prophecy of Bane opens our hero, Gregor, has returned to life as usual. That life should be better than it was before his last adventure began--his dad is, after all, back with the family, and both Gregor and baby Boots are safe and sound after their journey through the Underland. Ho...

Here we are, at book two in the Underland Chronicles, Suzanne Collin's MG series published before The Hunger Games. General consensus seems to be that The Hunger Games was far better, and while I agree that this wasn't as good, it's still certainly a worthwhile read, underrated among Suzanne Collins...

The most beautiful thing about this book, and the thing I can't stop thinking about, is how Gregor's dad sleeps on the pull out couch.

Okay, so after finishing Gregor the Overlander, I couldn’t wait to get to the second installment. I was left wondering at the aftereffects of Gregor’s return. How did he tell his mom about his adventures and how did she react? By the end of the first book I was just as worried as Gregor was about...

For me, this one was not as good as the first book, but that doesn't mean I did not enjoy it. It was a little bit more predictable, and the hint at future books was much more obvious - which is fine since it is series.

A 3.5 star review.I'm "reading" these as audiobooks, which I think is a good thing. The plot itself is nothing special, but the writing works nicely as a story read aloud, and I find myself utterly charmed by the tale. Especially Boots who's just plain adorable :)

I have never had this experience before, but I spent the first few chapters of this book struggling to keep from bursting into tears. I knew Gregor and his family from the first book in this series, Gregor the Overlander, wherein Gregor fell into the Underland, a somewhat stock fantasy land far belo...
