Group: Do Independent Bookstores Really Reflect the Myth They've Created for Themselves?
Independent Bookstores would have us believe they offer something special that make them worth supporting even though they can't offer the same discounts as chains. What have been your experiences? Do any exist that make it worth driving 20-30 miles to visit. My bias: I'm an unabashed Amazon fan. They do it better and cheaper.
