I'm reasonably sure this is the only V.I. Warshawski mystery I've read - she certainly seemed fresh and unexpected. I liked the obviously alert mind and the physical courage; I liked the strong sense of Chicago as a place. The tone was a bit flip sometimes. I'd read more.
