So just it's clear - this is 3.5 stars. Dash is an a-hole and Ciaran is lacking a back bone, seeing how it only takes a look and a hug from Dash to make all the abuse OK.
At first I thought Dash infuriating and Ciaran a whiner but as I kept reading they just became a adorable couple. I really liked seeing their relationship develop and seeing them get a long and change for each other. Well a better person in Dash's case and a making Ciaran a stronger person.
At no point did this get good or interesting enough for me to ignore the much hated petname'kid'
Overall I enjoyed this story of Jake who had been living in a world of grief for six years. It was lovely to see Gabriel start to break down his barriers and make him see that he needed to get on with living. What I really wanted in this story story was a nice happy ending, not the outstanding issues...
I liked it a lot, especially that there was no happy end, only a HFN. Fits the story and the characters.
