Beautifully detailed Wiccan rituals in here. Persephone's caring for the gran is extremely endearing. Am sort of envious of her because of that. #3 is a must-read.

In this second installment we find our heroine, Persephone manipulated into vying for the position of High Priestess of her local coven. I have to admit I was upset thinking that she is going to go like the last book a be manipulated by others again. However, in this case, this maneuver not only pro...

I don't think I'm going to go on with this series. It looks a lot like this heroine is going to end up like Anita Blake, because all the elements to go there are already in place in these first two books. I so do not want to see that happening. I'll chalk this up as "another author that's going to w...

Synopsis: Persephone Alcmedi has been persuaded to compete for the position of High Priestess of the Cleveland, Ohio, coven now that the former priestess, Vivian Diamond, has strangely gone missing. Unfortunately, there are a few small problems with the idea. Not only does Seph know rather more abou...

Persephone Alcmedi isn't just a witch who writes a syndicated newspaper column, kennels wærewolves, lives with her grandmother, and is guardian to a kid. She is also the Lustrata, the Bringer of Justice and Light. Something like that, anyway. Whatever it is, it makes her a Speshul Snowflake. And des...
