'Choked Up' by Hank Edwards is the fourth book in the 'Up to Trouble’ series. It takes place about six months after the previous book left off. PTSD has put life on hold for Mark Beecher and (Aaron) Pearce as he is recovering. Mark is frustrated by his mental state and is pushing himself to get over...

Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets.” ~ Paul Tournier Bryson Franklin, of 'Buried Secrets' by Hank Edwards, hasn't had an easy life. His alcoholic parents resented him because he is the reason they ended up in a loveless, destructive marriage. Bryson tries not to believe the messages he rece...

I don't often give 1 star ratings because it seems so...mean. In this case the book really deserved it. Seriously. Even if you overlook the poorly executed first person narrative (which btw is almost impossible) the MC was just a totally unlikable asshole. And stupid.

It is hard to pick a favorite out of this collection, so I am not even going to try. I have read other stories from each author, and I have to say they all brought their “A” games ...

These two stories flowed at a nice pace. It wasn’t an insta love situation. It was instalust for sure. The two men came together often and it was hot! Mark and Pearce both struggled with the adjustment of living with someone for the first time. Once they started communicating better, things improved...

4.5 StarsThe Venom Valley serial is the best sort of Old West episodic adventure, if you like books that crisscross realism and fantasy and history. It blends the sway in the saddle, gun-slinging charm of the time with the heaping helping of spooks and chills and things that suck blood in the night ...
