Now this was fun and just right for a summer read. Two 'Good Guys' vampires are private dicks. They are sucked -pun intended - into trying to stop a grand scheme to take over the world. Just when I thought, 'Hey, this reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer' the Main character said the same thing. Th...

I got this book in a 3-pack ebook, the entire series in one tidy little bundle. They're only about 200 pages each, so they're a snap to get through. A very quick read. And the humor was very refreshing. I laughed a lot at Jimmy's antics. All that said, this book was a bit dull. Nothing very origin...

The main character is a vampire. And an asshole. I dunno, I love it. I'm sure everyone is comparing this to the Dresden series, as the writing style and genre (Urban fantasy) is fairly similar. It's not quite as clean prose as the Dresden series, but definitely worth a read for entertainment pur...

Wow, what a fun read...what the author lost me on with Xbox game geekiness he gained by tossing in a plethora of dorky themes not to mention a great running gag.

Hard Day’s Knight is a fantastically humorous novel about two vampire detectives that aren’t at all the tall, dark, handsome or sparkling vampires that you’ve come to expect from today’s paranormal novels. When Detective Jimmy Black wakes up tied to a chair with silver the last thing he expects is to...

A pleasant surprise from the usual dark, sexy, brooding vampires!Hard Day's Knight is not your usual dark vampire tale, it's a light hearted urban fantasy filled with action and all sorts of creatures of the night! The writing is fresh and smart with great character development and humor that will h...

More than anything, this book reminds me of a teenage boy; gawky, awkward, and the wispy remnants of childhood sweetness around the edges. Maybe a few spots on his face, and a tendency to cover seriousness with annoying flippancy, but with the potential to become something interesting in a few years...
