A long time ago, Harry Heckel's imagination was ensnared by comic books, roleplaying games and science fiction movies. Once he started creating stories and building worlds for his roleplaying groups, it was only a matter of time before that turned into writing. His first published works were roleplaying games primarily for White Wolf Game Studio. Eventually, he was able to create aliens for Star Wars and detail planets for Star Trek roleplaying games.His first major novel, Sons of Fenris by Black Library, follows the saga of Ragnar Blackmane and continues the Space Wolf series started by William King. He co-authored two novels for that series under the penname of Lee Lightner. Both novels are available in the compendium Space Wolf Omnibus, Vol. 2. His recent projects include the HeroNet Files superhero anthology, The Krueger Chronicles (Souls of the Everwood, Balefire and Brimstone), The Adventures of the Crimson Hawks (In the Service of the King) and Cursed Necropolis: Washington DC and Sothis Ascends for the Mummy: The Curse roleplaying game.He is also one half of the team of Jack Heckel, author of The Charming Tales, including Once Upon a Rhyme and Happily Never After. The next book in the series will be Pitchfork of Destiny.Harry wargames, roleplays and still reads comic books periodically. He enjoys helping other writers and currently lives in Mechanicsville, VA.Additionally, he is the grandson of Harry L. Heckel Jr., the oldest man to perform a solo circumnavigation of the world on a sailboat.
