I LOVE this series and wish I could read it again for the first time. But it has been a while since I read this one and it was fun to hear the differences from the movie. And Jim Dale never disappoints.

...That's what it feels like to be back in the world of Harry Potter again. This time I am listening on Audible, and it is an absolute treat!

It's so weird. I first read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when I was 19 years old. Now reading it when I am 38 I am just seeing all kinds of issues. Maybe some of it is colored by the fact that I am older. And maybe some of it is by the fact that I am realizing that I don't particularly ca...

(original review, 2000)So millions of readers think these books are brilliant. It takes an odd sort of character to say, in this context, "frankly the books are rubbish".Very odd.It seems so much more natural, and logical, to say something like "I think these books are badly written ("he was sat the...

Brilliant!I felt like this book exactly what I would hope from it. Another year at school and another year of adventures. As these kids learn magic, they learn how to mature and grow as human beings as well. Near the very end of the book, Dumbledore teaches Harry the most valuable lesson of the whol...

This rating refers to the art, not the text. It is a relief to get rid of those ugly covers, but I still have some issues with Kay's illustration choices. Of course, the 20th Anniversary covers (on yet another edition) by the otherwise talented Brian Selznick leaves much to be desired. Don't even ge...

Re-Read:March 26 - March 29 2018If I were a parent I might not send my kid to Hogwarts. LOL Crazy things happen at this school! However these crazy things make excellent reading or in this case listening. I haven’t read this series in a very long time and I’m floored at how much I’ve forgotten or ho...

⭐5 stars⭐"Harry — I think I've just understood something! I've got to go to the library!"And she sprinted away, up the stairs."What does she understand?" said Harry distractedly."Loads more than I do," said Ron, shaking his head."But why's she got to go to the library?""Because that's what Hermione ...

I don't kow how many times I've read Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, I can't keep track. But I know it's my second time reading this edition in anticipation of the 3rd one that I got for Christmas. I'll read it next month and I can't wait, it's so beautiful. As always, it was Harry Potter...
