Rising sous-chef Kelly Matlock's sudden collapse at work is a wake-up call. Disillusioned and burned out, she's retreated to her sister Jillian's house in Virgin River to rest and reevaluate.Puttering in Jill's garden and cooking with her heirloom vegetables is wonderful, but Virgin River is a far cry from San Francisco. Kelly's starting to feel a little too unmotivated…until she meets Lief Holbrook. The handsome widower looks more like a lumberjack than a sophisticated screenwriter—a combination Kelly finds irresistible. But less appealing is Lief's rebellious stepdaughter, Courtney. She's the reason they moved from L.A., but Courtney's finding plenty of trouble even in Virgin River.Kelly's never fallen for a guy with such serious baggage, but some things are worth fighting for. Besides, a bratty teenager can't be any worse than a histrionic chef…right?

I 100 percent did not get the love story between the two leads (Kelly Matlock and Lief Holbrook). Also war meine erste Neugier geweckt und lies mich den Klappentext lesen. Die Beschreibung des Buche...
I wasn't expecting Kelly to get her book right after Jill's book. I was expecting to hate Courtney, at least some of the time, but it was hard to hate her even when she was being a complete brat. Some of this book was in her POV since she's so important to the plot and her dad is the one who gets in...
I had initial misgivings with this book because I'd rather keep children of any age out of my romance novels, but I do have a weakness for a female chef lead and an autumn setting. This bore a few similarities to a book I read in the past, [b:The Accidental Bride|13548167|The Accidental Bride|Christi...
I really enjoyed Harvest Moon. I loved Leif and Kelly. It was an easy read and I also enjoyed reading about Leif's daughter, Courtney. She started out really bratty but she had a lot of stuff to deal with. Good book.
