Harvey Young is a professor at Northwestern University, where he holds appointments in African American Studies, Performance Studies, Theatre and Radio/Television/Film. He is the author of "Theatre and Race" and "Embodying Black Experience," which won "Book of the Year" awards from the National Communication Association and the American Society for Theatre Research. He is the editor of three books: "Performance in the Borderlands" (with Ramon Rivera-Servera), "Reimagining A Raisin in the Sun: Four New Plays" (with Rebecca Ann Rugg) and "The Cambridge Companion to African American Theatre."
