3/5; 3 stars; C+I think this book is my least favorite in the series, predominantly because I didn't like the main characters very much. The best part of this story was the background on the colonists and the history of Lugh's Spear.

It took me a long time to get into this book. I picked it up and put it down several times before finally getting into the story. It didn't grab me like many of the others in the series. I enjoyed it, because I always enjoy this world, but it isn't a favorite.
