love a good fictional band novel, but as Austen pastiche goes, I think the one with zombies was easier to believe

The writing is making me DNF. All show. No tell. And it seems like the author is in such a hurry to hit all the points from the cannon that there is no time spent on fleshing out the characters or trying to better adapt the plot to a modern time. Disappointing.

Loved the idea of this and obviously I'll read anything with Darcy in it. However, in this case, I was painfully disappointed. It took me forever to get through it and that was with skipping sections or different POVs. Even thought it was sort of fun seeing the different couples, the story may have ...

Rating: BI really liked how the author represented Austen's characters in modern life. We still see Lizzie's sense of humor and Darcy's seriousness, Jane's optimism; but we are also given a glimpse of the secondary characters not explored in Pride and Prejudice. Once again, I'm not starring this one since I couldn't motivate myself to finish it. All the ways the author manages to work in the traditional names are really cute, but the fancy trick doesn't make up for some really clunky writing.

I didn’t want the blah school books to rub off on it. So I waited. I’ve attempted to read it but, alas, a new se...

Wowza! I loved this one! Mr. Darcy as a rock star is mighty mighty attractive, and I loved how Heather Lynn Rigaud set it all up. She changed certain things to make it fit better with modern times, but I loved certain things that she kept. I especially loved how it ended up for Charlotte...I'm glad ...

This book was so awful. I wanted to like it, I really did. I started out hoping it would be light and funny like Prom and Prejudice and I was horribly disappointed. This book was poorly written, the same vocabulary words being used over and over to describe things. It only held my interest because I...
