Helen is a director of a legal practice and a psychology graduate with experience of working within the UK criminal justice system.She writes from the heart to engage the mind and assuage the soul. Her work reflects her interest in the darker aspects of the human psyche and the resilience of the spirit.'Tears of a Phoenix' is her debut novel. It is a fictional account and a social commentary on the work carried out with life sentence prisoners. Incorporating aspects of ancient Ghanaian heritage and contemporary psychology, the tale depicts the redemption of its main character, Jed, as he travels on shamanic journeys from within the prison walls.Helen's second novel 'The 49th Day' and a collection of short stories, titled 'Scorpio Moons,' scheduled for publication in August 2014, are now available to pre-order.She has the first of a noir crime/thriller novel series scheduled for publication in March 2015.
