Christ, this woman is miserable and unlikable. DNF at 13% and I'm fucking furious about it because I was loving the hero, Mac. But Ripley is too awful to put up with.

Work was boring again. Well, at least a good part of it was in the afternoon. The morning was spent breaking everything I touched, but that's another story. I knew the first time I saw Nora Roberts book list that there was no way she could have written that many books, that fast and not trip ove...

I loved Ripley in this book! I liked Lulu a lot better in this one too, since the last book had Lulu being harsh to Nell, even when she didn't do anything. I wasn't expecting the drama from the last book to carry over into this one, but it makes me wonder if Evan wasn't acting as he did of his own f...

Ripley: I'll go alone and fight the evil that destroyed 3 powerful witches in the past, even if I have to die, in order to protect those I love. I'd be more likely to win if I waited for the others to help me, but I'm an unselfish, self-sacrifising and impatient woman and prefer to become a martyr t...

Not as 'gripping' as the first book in the series, mostly due to my dislike of the heroine. I didn't like Ripley in the first book and I didn't like her in her own story, though she sort of redeemed herself in the end. This book was a little more intense in the paranormal/suspense department with the...

Loved Ripley and Mac's relationship, and her struggle with the way her own strength made her so vulnerable.

Ah, summer. The time when I tend to toss most of my serious reading right out the window and stick to novels that I can read with one eye on the book and the other on the kids running through the sprinkler. By far, my favorite author for summer reading is Nora Roberts, a New York Times bestselling a...

This was a nice follow up to the first book in the series. While this was Ripley's story, I was more enamored of Mac Booke. He's a very layered character and provided insight into all of the women in the circle. I sometimes struggled with the believability of Ripley's stubbornness in the face of rea...

Gostei muito deste livro. É uma boa continuação do primeiro livro. Acho que vou adorar a trilogia.
