text Reconstruction: America's Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877
Foner’s task in this book is to retell the story of Reconstruction, and take it back from a “fraternity of professional historians,” who rewrote history, to the profession’s “everlasting shame.” Another must-read book for students of American History. And really, read the long version.

Better than I thought it would be, but not great. I love the drama, but sometimes Miller just irritates me. Oh well.
