There was something missing.... Let me think about this. Oh yeah. I got it There was no slow clap. Otherwise Krys managed to add every single cliche a teen movie would sport. AND I mean every single one. Douch boyfriend.. check Bitch BFF .. check Mega self-involved beautiful and clueles...

Well this went quickly from amusingly bad to just plain bad. Started out interestingly enough, but rapidly descended into absolute stupidity. Kind of like a bad movie where the script is weak, the acting and dialogue is abysmal and the villains are laughable. All of which this book has in abundance....

PJV QUICKIE: The whole popular girl/high school drama meets paranormal world, chosen one…etc. is the main plot thread of HEXED by Michelle Krys. This is why I equate this book with the adjective – regurgitated. Because it is. Very. Change Buffy to Indigo, and Vampires to Bad sorcerers and you have y...

“Go on,” he says. “I like it rough.”Double ugh! I’m suddenly acutely aware that I’m straddling him—wearing a micromini and heels, no less—and I can’t roll off him fast enough.“You’re sick, you know.” Meet your main characters! She's a brainless cheerleader and he's a stalker! This book is a cesspool ...

ARC provided by Delacorte Press through Netgalley DNF @ 20% I really disliked the main character, Indigo (Indie). She is selfish, shallow, more concerned about high-school popularity than being herself, and she constantly judges her peers for actually being themselves. Then there are these littl...

"Exactly twelve minutes into cheerleading practice, and I already wish I were dead." Indigo is a popular high school junior, to bad she has a quirky mom that owns the occult shop in town. Still her life is perfect because she is a cheerleader and dating a football star. She has it made. Until ...

(I got an ARC through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.) I really can’t say I enjoyed this book. It reads easily, and there were a few good ideas, and a particular twist that was clever (though extremely cruel, too), but mostly I found the characters bland at best, and the plot weighed ...

Read my full review at: The Book Bee**2 stars**A debut novel with a seriously annoying protagonist. Lacking on the magic, fantasy, or paranormal fronts, this novel reads more like a teen girl's diary of high school's ups and downs. Expanding the magic would have helped immensely. I really wanted to ...

**Thank you Random House and Netgalley for providing this in exchange for and honest review** I loved this book. YA used to be my main go to genre. Sadly, it seems the overall quality of the genre has gone down hill the past few years. I read fewer YA titles every year because of it. This is the f...
