I mostly enjoyed the story and plot, but the resolution did come very quickly. Elizabeth solved the mystery without even confronting the murder or putting herself in the teensiest bit of danger, which is abnormal. I was glad that there wasn't nearly as much Scottish dialect as the author's note seem...
