Still a four star read; and surprisingly enough, this time around I didn't hate Vere all that much! Guess I'm going to have to stop calling him 'the rat guy'. ;)

This book was a little different than the normal ol' historical romance. I say that because of the bedroom scenes. I actually like that nothing worked for her -exactly. This book was AWESOME. I didn't want to put it down for a moment. The story was satidfying. It had a thrilling hero an...

Overall it was good. I enjoyed the writing style. I rated this a little lower than I otherwise would have- I thought Vere's anger was uncalled for as he was playing a part/roll too. I also thought he was forgiven too easily for the things he said and did.

*sniff* *sniff*I loved this book. The story was hilarious in some spots, poignant in others and overall completely enjoyable. Vere and Elissande are both play actors, each for a different reason. I thought this was a very fresh approach on the "wrong impression" trope and I did love their chemistry ...
