I started this book feeling very burned out on heavy, complicated historical romances and yearning for something wholesome and straightforward. I could not have made a better choice. This is a simply written story, but it's never dull.

4/5; 4 stars; A-One of the things I like about the books by this author is she always describes people who are emotionally or physically damaged and takes the reader on their journey to healing. This story was beautiful.
