What happened in this book? I mean, I know something did, but it eludes me for the most part. I think maybe there was an epic showdown that unfolded over the course of two pages at the end, but I might be wrong. On the good side: This book actually has some decent action scenes. There is an entire...
Book: Hit List (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #20)Author: Laurell K. Hamilton Publication Date: 6/7/2011Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 5 Stars REVIEW Wow the books in this series just get better and better. In this, one Anita and Edward are off on another serial killer hunt. Of c...
It's official now- this series is dead in the water, not even a hint of inertia. Hamilton has crushed what little impetus the storyline had left. This is another book about nothing: lots of talking, whining, snarling, blank looks, Anita's-is-bigger-than-your's-contests with cops, etc. Toss in a coupl...
This one had a whole lot more action with a very scary vamp trying to control Anita. She adds more to her pack and gains more power. Olaf is scary & is probably going to get a whole lot more evil in future books. She works with Edward & she learns more about him. Her sweeties have to stay home while...
I know I am one of the few people that have stuck with the series this long, but I have been able to deal with Anita and the ardeur. I actually liked some of the recent relationship storylines, minus some of the endless sex scenes, more than some of the procedural crime stories of the early books. T...
FINALLY!Laurell, the reason your fans have been criticizing you so harshly is because we knew that you had this in you. I very much enjoyed this one. It wasn't without its flaws--no book is, really--but the good far outweighed the bad. There was plot, there wasn't too much sex and what was there ...
1st review, 2nd read.I really like this book. Anita meets a golden tiger that doesn't know he has that color. One of the muscle for the red tiger clan and he is pretty cool, a fighter. This is also where Olaf get real interesting because of what happens. I can't wait to read more about that.
The best Anita Blake I've read in a long time, I loved seeing Anita on the road with Edward and co. The preternatural elements unfold in a satisfying way, and there is a minimum of rehashing old emotional issues. HIT LIST has me excited for more Anita Blake, in a way that I haven't experienced in ...
Anita and Edward "Death" Forrester are called in to act as Marshalls when there's a string of mysterious deaths. Most of the first half of the book is Anita confronting sexist cops/detectives/marshalls, and them immediately realizing how badass and amazing she is. Anita's obsession with being the ...
