My stories are generally dark, gritty, and a little disturbing (or maybe a lot, depending on who you are). My aim is not simply to shock, but to explore the darkest and most deranged of human emotions. I write humor, discomfort, sexual exploration, and horror. I want to give you, the reader, something edgy and thrilling. Something deeply interesting. Something to make you think (or cringe). I'm an aspiring author and professional freelance editor (www.espressoeditor.com). I'm Senior Editor at Oddville Press. I also work as a cook by day to ensure all the bills get covered. I have an amazing, hilarious 8-year-old son to take care of. He sometimes asks if he can read my books--I tell him he has to wait till he's 18.... Besides being an author, my dream is to become a librarian. It's in the works.I want to write more--more dark short stories, sexy novels, YA books, and NA books. I love many genres, and find myself wanting to write many genres. Besides writing, I have a thing for musicals. I sing and play the guitar, and sometimes post my vocal stylings on Youtube.Inspiring authors include: Ernest Hemingway, Ellen Hopkins, F. Scott Fitzgerald, V.C. Andrews, Bret Easton Ellis, Chris Lynch, Chuck Palahniuk, R.A. Nelson, Edgar Allan Poe, and Woody Allen. I love to connect with readers. Find me on my website (www.alittleliterary.blogspot.com), facebook (www.facebook.com/hollymkothe), Twitter (@hollycurrent) or email (hollymkothe@gmail.com).

Don't nickel and dime your readers to death. The only reason I am reading (and going to review) his The World Burns "series" is because its...

Sweet Violent Femmes is as a title very accurate. In the center of each of those four short stories is a sweet femme fatale; anti-heroines who destroy themselves on their quest for revenge. My favorite story is the first one ´The Glass Room´. An American girl in Paris working in a "high-end brothe...
