They grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and first began writing and illustrating books together in the third grade. They are the twin powers behind the board book series "Star Wars Epic Yarns", which offers a lightspeed take on each of three original Star Wars movies, and "Cozy Classics", which abridges classics like "Pride and Prejudice" and "Moby Dick" into 12 words and 12 needle-felted illustrations.Holman is a former middle-school teacher and corporate lawyer. He has an education degree, a masters degree (architecture history) and a law degree, all from the University of British Columbia. Holman left his job as a lawyer in late 2012 to pursue children's writing and illustration full-time. Holman and Jack's unique artwork combines needle felting, scale modelling and photography.Holman and Jack's work has been exhibited at the 2013 Bologna Children's Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition, and has been featured in the New York Times, People, the Wall Street Journal, the Huffington Post, The Telegraph, New York Magazine, The Paris Review, Parents magazine, American Craft magazine, CBC, and Fox News.
