Okay, here I am reading another graphic novel despite the fact that I constantly proclaim that I don't like graphic novels. So, the question is, am I a hypocrite? Well, not entirely namely because I have broadened my areas of writing to include businesses, which means that I write on Yelp, True Loca...

This whole series is a misogyny filled ""what about the men"" fest. With almost no characterization replaced instead with lots of detailed battles.

It's not Chaucer, but it sure is pacy and fun! I read these about 20 years ago, and I am glad my memories have not failed me.

Overall, I liked this book. I loved the main character and was rooting for him the entire time. The world is well developed and pulled me right in. Looking back, some of the creatures and places were barely described, yet I somehow walked away with a clear picture in my head. If you like detailed de...

I read this book when I was about 16, and I'm rereading it for the first time as a so-called grownup.Hmm-- I have mixed feelings about this. There are several glaring things that bother me. One is in the book's description on goodreads. It ends with the words "Drizzt Do'Urden (TM)" ... umm... does th...

Well, with the popularity that Drizzt gained from the Icewind Dale trilogy it seems that we were always going to be given a look into his life before he became a hero in that sense, and this book takes us right back to the beginning of his life when he was growing up as a young male drow in the unde...

Warning: Geeky Review Ahead, Do Not Read Unless You're A GamerI've loved Drizzt Daermon N'a'shezbaernon since I was about eight years old, but I've never read R.A. Salvatore before. I know--a crime, right? Especially for a fantasy addict like me. But I've read so many D&D books that were cheesy, not...

M'kay, I had tried reading this a while back...perhaps like 4-5 years now? But unfortunately I was half-way through it when the book disappeared on me. Apparently it was my brother's friend's copy. -_-"But I would LOVE to reread this for real and ACTUALLY finish it lol.

Oh, Mr. Salvatore. Methinks thou hast bitten off more than thou canst chew.Intentionally or not, R.A. Salvatore has created a potential monster here. Not in the Underdark denizens or in the drow society that provides the backdrop for the story. Not even in Lloth, queen of the demonweb pits and diety...

The first R. A. Salvatore book I read was “Sword of Bedwyr”, and I would liken it to an action-packed summer blockbuster movie. It was filled with exciting fight scenes, and the characters got off a lot of funny one-liners, but the plot itself was pretty basic and generic. I went into “Homeland” e...
