Poor Brooklyn. She doesn't really find dead bodies wherever she goes. Really. It just seems that way.I'm in love with this series. The books are fast-paced and the bookbinding information is very interesting. I really like the characters that Carlisle has created in this series.

The streets of San Francisco would be lined with hardcovers if rare book expert Brooklyn Wainwright had her way. And her mentor wouldn't be lying in a pool of his own blood on the eve of a celebration for his latest book restoration. With his final breath he leaves Brooklyn a cryptic message, and giv...

It is hard for some to believe that someone who is such a lover of romance, urban fantasy and certain crime procedurals could also be a lover of Cozy Mysteries. Cute cozy mystery. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at first but Brooklyn grew on me and I really like her family and friends. The book restoration info was interesting as well.

When I first heard about this book (series), the heroine's occupation intrigued me (okay, there's also the British hunk, but let's pretend it was just the heroine's occupation that intrigued me). Unfortunately, as I started reading, I got a crash, super-quick course in book-binding and book-restorat...

A fun, light read. The ~mystery~ wasn't particularly difficult to figure out, but I enjoyed hearing about the process of book restoration. It sounds like a fascinating field.

A book restoration expert tangling with murder. A relatively quick read, with a reasonable ending. The fainting of the main character and the smirking of the 'hot investigator' didn't work for me, so I won't be continuing with the series.
