This is an amazing book. I loved every page of it! This is the kind of book that you want to keep reading to find out what happens next. There is never a slow moment. It was hard for me to put down. I read a few pages every chance I got. I really enjoyed the plot and characters. A great book about f...

Hoot is a story that focuses on how you treat someone and how others around you are treated. It would be a great book to talk to the class about making a change in society. My 11 y.o. daughter recommended this book to me. It was a great book for her age group. Nicely paced, some irreverent humour to lighten the slightly preachy tones.

"Roy still hadn't settled the argument between his brain and his heart."Cute (because it involves teeny little owls) and quirky - consistent with the style of Carl Hiaasen. Very memorable characters.

Roy might be one of the best young men I've ever read about. He really seems to understand people and relationships. The bond he has with his parents and his understanding of them is inspirational. The book overall had a few funny moments and an endearing plot but I found it long and very boring at p...
