I recently had read the first 3 books in this series, and they just kept getting more intriguing. I'd read and loved Bujold's other fantasy series that started with The Curse of Chalion, and found them a great read. I'd call that one High Fantasy, this is a series though that has hints of science-fi...

This final book of the series dragged a bit in the beginning and the middle, but the climax and ending sure made up for it.Still, it's interesting how my feelings about the characters have changed over the course of four books. I really liked Fawn in Beguilement and Legacy, but by the halfway point ...

I know I know, I have been bored for 2 books now and still I read this one. I just wanted to know how it ended. But after having thought about this, it ended as boringly as it went on. Nothing happened at the end either.Right this book then. Dag and Fawn talk --> they talk to other people --> they t...

Last in the Sharing Knife quartet. I like Dag and Fawn and I like the setting and the world, but I miss the twistiness of both Miles and the main characters in the Chalion books. Everyone here is relatively straightforward (RELATIVELY). [July 2011]

This series could have been so much better if it was less about the romance and more about...everything else. The malices/mud-men/mages and all the back story with the Lakewalkers and their magic and whatnot was really compelling. The world was really interesting, and a lot was made of how dangerous...

By far the best of the series. It gives a satisfying conclusion to Bujold's series.

Horizon is the fourth and final book of Bujold's Sharing Knife series. In it, we find our heroes, Dag and Fawn Bluefield, returning north with the intention of settling a place of their own. Dag, already a veteran Lakewalker patroller, has become more than that now: medicine-maker, groundsetter, hus...

The fourth book in the series, with Dag and Fawn seeking a home together that will accept them as who they are. And to get there, they have to face a terrifying threat. Whew. By the end of this one, I was up all night, as I could not put this one down. Quite a wrap up for the series, and very much r...

I was delighted by the entire series. I will be buying it to pick up when I want to walk down the blighted road with the rag tag team of Lakewalkers and Farmers on their quest to educate and change the world. The Horizon was a very satisfying ending to the series even with the heart stopping momen...
