5.0 Horton Halfpott: Or, The Fiendish Mystery of Smugwick Manor; or, The Loosening of M'Lady Luggertuck's Corset
6/13/11 ** Day 17 Book 20 ** Just from the title, you can tell that this book is likely to be over the top; it's a spoof of Victorian adventures with the pure hero, multiple evil villains, numerous miscellaneous characters, and a mystery. Nicely done Tom Angleberger. A new entry into what I like to call the "Roald Dahl" genre. Read my review here.

4.0 Horton Halfpott: Or, The Fiendish Mystery of Smugwick Manor; or, The Loosening of M'Lady Luggertuck's Corset
Fun, middle grade read which riffs heavily on the Dickensian style and Victorian mystery. Horton Halfpott is an opportunity to introduce younger readers to literary form in an ingeniously funny way. Highly recommended.
