This story takes place in the world of Howl's Moving Castle. Charmain goes to help take care of her sick great uncle who also happens to be a wizard. What she thought was going to be a simple job turns into a wacky adventure full of wizards and sorceresses, a door that leads to more than one place, ...

I do like this one, although I almost wish it weren’t connected to HMC at all, since I think I would enjoy it more on its own merits. But Howl as a toddler is pretty hilarious.

Kolejna magiczna podróż po kolejnej magicznej krainie :) All she heard next of the strange conversation behind the sofa was Mrs. Pendragon saying something about sending Twinkle (or was his name Howl?) to bed without supper and Twinkle daring her to 'jutht TRY it. Ah, gdyby znalazł się tłumacz...

Like Castle in the Air, House of Many Ways is less a sequel to Howl's Moving Castle, and more another story that happens in the same world that features the central characters from the first book. I actually like that idea more than having the books be direct sequels (I think it opens the stories u...

This is considered the third book in Jones' Howl's Moving Castle world. It is also, by far, the worse. It still held the magical and whimsical quality of Howl's Moving Castle that I loved, but the main characters demolished the story. Charmain Baker was asked by her uncle to house-sit while he's awa...

I enjoyed this story of Charmain who is roped into minding her great-uncle's house by her aunt. Charmain has been sheltered all her life from magic but now she's immersed in it and her curiousity is going to teach her a thing or two. Before she got roped into this she applied to the King to work i...

When the MC Charmain read the name "Howl Pendragon" in the letter, that mere name made me so happy. I love Howl, and it does not matter if he is not a main character in the story, he attracts the attention of the reader with any action. Even if he is a "child", like in this case.Ms. Wynne was a wond...

I really enjoyed this book! Diana Wynne Jones is a master story teller, and Jenny Sterlin does a wonderful job with the narration.A question for goodreads -- why is the description in Russian (?) when the book is in English? This makes no manner of sense to me!But anyway....Charmain, our heroine, is...

The final installment in the Howl’s Moving Castle series is a tale focusing on Charmain Baker, a young girl hoping to be employed in the King’s royal library. While attempting to secure this most elite of posts, she is tasked to house sit her wizard uncle’s magic house…and, of course, solve a myste...
