Preachy and manipulative and almost all the moms are in dresses. But cute dinosaurs.
I agree with other reviewers that this story is an entertaining "appropriate bedtime behavior" book. There wasn't anything in here that wasn't likable. But the kids that I read this to weren't terribly impressed. My niece liked it just fine, I suppose, although I don't know if she actually heard it...
This one I read to my grand child fairly often because it says so much about the process of getting ready for bed with a fun-to-read rhyme and story.
Such a great book (series, really) by Jane Yolen. A wonderful, fun way to bring up manners and acceptable/unacceptable behaviors with toddlers and preschoolers.
The favorite bedtime story at our house. By far. Simple, sweet, and wonderful for young children.
I love this series! They are a fun and lighthearted way to reaffirm manners and rules.
I love Mark Teague's illustrations. Of course these are popular with kids who like dinos, but they're also good for those who like looking for things in pictures. And they're silly enough that they don't seem to preachy.
