How To Save a Life was a book that I picked up on a Saturday afternoon and after reading a single chapter I knew it was a book that I was going to love. Just the honesty in every word and the astounding development of the characters alone is so great but when you throw in the dynamic relationships ...

After I read Sweethearts in almost one sitting over the Christmas holidays, I was excited to read another Sara Zarr book -- and this one had received great reviews too. I listened to this one on audio as I drove to and from work for my last couple of weeks, which was great as it still gave me an op...

Sara Zarr is fast becoming one of my most favorite authors. Where [a:E. Lockhart|173491|E. Well-written and exactly what it was trying to be and no more. Mandy is way more interesting than Jill, but they balance well.Won in a FirstReads giveaway.

I really enjoyed this one. Lots of thoughts, but they'll have to wait until I get the use of my thumb back (long story).

The story is told in an alternating style between the two main characters. Both are teenage girls, 18 and 17 years old, a...

Somewhere between Jill's snark and Mandy's plain truth, I fell in love with this book. Slow start but it developed into a beautiful story of love, loss, and coming to terms with life.

I'll be honest: I didn't immediately love this book. I liked Jill well enough, but I wasn't sure how to feel about Mandy. She's... different. But, the more I read, the more I came to care for both of these characters.I found Jill easy to relate to. I think I would have been just as moody and skeptic...
