Howard Stone, Ph.D., is a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, and professor emeritus at Texas Christian University. In addition, he directed a counseling center in Arizona for many years. He is the author of a number of influential books on counseling and has served on numerous editorial boards of professional journals. He has lectured on depression and counseling throughout the United States as well as over twenty other countries. Stone has suffered from depression himself, and he continues to cope with it using many of the methods provided in his book Defeating Depression published in 2015.Howard Stone has been married for over 50 years and has a daughter and two granddaughters. He has many interests including traveling, fishing, baking bread and pizza, walking, and antique radios. He has an antique radio website, StoneVintageRadio.com, a virtual radio museum.
