I was first introduced to this tale in movie form, however, to my great pleasure I stumbled across it at the book store on April Fool's day. To say I had to pinch myself to make sure I was not being tricked is an understatement. I whisked it to the front desk to purchase immediately and could not pu...

So much imagination. This is unlike anything I've read. I'm impressed. It totally kept my attention, and I'm an adult. Reading this as a kid must be out of this world amazing. It's great for anyone who can read, adults and kids of all ages. There's lots of magic and a great cast.

I loved this. So soothing to read. I love how Sophie just rolls with it. I love the green slime. I love that my brain had pity on me and did not make me hear Calcifer's lines in Billy Crystal's voice.

I was excited to read this book for a couple of reasons. Reason one was that I had never read anything by Dianna Wynne Jones. Shameful, I know, but at least I have corrected the deficiency! The second reason, which drove my choice of Howl's Moving Castle is that I adore the Miyazaki film so much ...

Note: Throughout June, I’ll be re-reading and reviewing books by Diana Wynne Jones. There are definitely spoilers below, so tread with caution if that’s something you’re concerned about. Howl’s Moving Castle is one of Diana Wynne Jones’s best known and most popular books. It has two sequels, Castl...
