I've long been a fan of Jordan L. Hawk's Widdershins series and recently got into the Hexworld series so I decided to give SPECTR a try... I'm glad I did!Hunter of Demons is a unique twist on a paranormal m/m story that had my interest from page one. The book follows Caleb Jansen, a closeted 'mal' -...

This is the first book in the SPECTR series and it is available right now as a free download from Kobo Books. There is Caleb, the unregistered paranormal, Gray, a wandering vampire-like spirit who becomes trapped in Caleb's body and John, the federal agent/exorcist. There is a case of a murderous...

I enjoyed this intro to a new series. It was interesting and I can't wait to read more about John, Caleb and Gray.

3,5 starsA very promising start to this series. It was kind of short and there was not a lot of character development because of that, but I liked it. This could be a great paranormal series.I liked Caleb and his sarcasm. They way he dealt with having another entity vacate his body with him was admi...

Only 109 pages and I'm a fan of Jordan L. Hawk!Great writing, awesome character set up and a vampire possession unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Hawk’s setting is a futuristic (I think) world like ours, inhabited with Non-Human Entities and ‘Mals’ – humans with paranormal gifts who are persecu...

I've only read two of Hawk's books and I'm already pretty sure she's going to be one of my favorite authors. I loved this book. This is a new modern fantasy world, and while it has some familiar elements (sheesh, I'm so tired of eyes turning completely black when a demon takes over the body--but eve...
